Archery

Catering for ages 7yrs and over, we have 62inch Bows. Limbs are 25lb - a fairly light weight which will help to make the learning experience a little easier. This allows the beginner to concentrate more on form.

Targets are set at 18 metres, a distance normally set for indoor Archery. We use targets 1.2m square, chosen to allow the learner a more pleasant and fun introduction to Archery

Our Introduction to Archery is set in a relaxed fun atmosphere. However, we will run through our standard safety rules and then happily give you some “pointers” to get you going. Once you have the basics you can keep score if you like and see how you go against your buddies.

Each target is broken into 10 scoring zones and shot in sets of 6 - from the outside;- 2 white, 2 black, 2 blue, 2 red and 2 yellow. If you get the centre yellow you get ten points, nine points for the outer yellow, 8 points for the inner blue, 7 for the outer blue and so on down to 1 point for the outer white.
